As we approach the Christmas holidays, a time of reflection, joy, and connection, I find myself reflecting on a year that has truly taken my breath away. This year has been a whirlwind, with so many amazing moments that I will forever treasure. One of the most significant milestones of my life, except for my children, has been the release of my first book, 'When Fate Returns'. I still can’t believe that it's out in the world!
The response has been overwhelming, and the way people have embraced my words has touched me in ways I never imagined possible. Sales continue to grow every day, and the reviews that are now rolling in are bringing tears to my eyes. To know that my book is reaching people and making an impact is a feeling I can’t quite put into words. I’m so incredibly grateful for this journey—one that has made me realize just how much I’ve wanted this, and how much I’ve grown as an author and a person.

As I celebrate the festive season here in Australia; I am truly embracing the warmth of summer with family and friends, there's a sense of gratitude that fills the air as we gather together to celebrate all that we have. I’m thankful for the experiences of this year, and I’m looking forward to another year of growth and opportunity. But I also want to be mindful of those who may not be feeling as blessed this season.
There are so many out there who have faced hardships, lost loved ones, or are struggling in ways we may not fully see. This holiday season, I encourage you to give generously—whether it’s through financial support or by offering your time and energy. Kindness can make a world of difference, and even a small gesture can bring comfort to someone who might be feeling alone or unseen. Let’s hold those who are struggling close, offering a bit of love and light during a tough time.

As a reminder of the beauty that surrounds us, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible landscape of Australia, which has inspired me and the River Flats series. From our golden beaches to the rugged mountains and vast outback, the diversity of our land is truly awe-inspiring. It’s easy to take our beautiful country for granted, but moments like these are a chance to pause and appreciate the natural wonders that make this place so special.
To celebrate this beauty, I’m excited to share the Rural Photo of the Month. Congratulations to Judy Nickless for her stunning photo of her backyard, a perfect example of the breathtaking landscapes we are lucky to call home. Judy’s photo truly captures the essence of our beautiful, diverse country. As the winner, Judy will receive a mystery gift pack of appreciation for sharing her talent.

If you’d like to join in and have a chance to win a mystery gift pack of your own, I invite you to send in your rural photos. Every month, I’ll select a winner, and you could be next!
As we look to the final stretch of 2024, I can’t help but reflect on the changes we’ve all experienced. The world has seen its fair share of turmoil—leadership changes, loss, and destruction—whether in the form of lives lost or the degradation of our land and oceans, even within our personal lives. It’s easy to feel disheartened, but I urge you to look for the beauty that still exists and to take a second to appreciate this very moment. Are you breathing? Do you have a roof over your head, food on your table, and someone to say hello to? We are blessed in ways that we might take for granted. Even when it feels like the world is full of negativity, take a moment to appreciate what you do have.
And if you find it hard to find anything to be grateful for, just remember: some poor person woke up this morning next to your ex, thinking they have found the love of their life. 😂 Sometimes, perspective can turn everything around. 😉
I want to wish you all the best this season—may you find peace, love, and joy in the company of those you hold dear. I can’t wait to see you all again next year, and I look forward to all the new experiences that 2025 will bring.
Merry Christmas, and may your days be merry and bright!
With love,
